Since graduating from nursing school I have worked on a variety of different political campaigns and with several different political organizations. In 2008 I worked as an intern on the Barack Obama Presidential Campaign where I registered voters, conducted canvassing, took part in voter ID and Get Out The Vote (GOTV) operations. In 2009 I was a volunteer for the Equality is Gainesville's Business organization whose purpose was to defeat Alachua County Charter Amendment 1 where I did canvassing and GOTV work. From 2008-present I have been a volunteer for Organizing for America where I have phonebanked, canvassed, participated in round table discussions and several public speaking engagements in efforts to garner popular support for the recent Affordable Care Act.
